Privacy Policy
UGCad connects brands with content creators for paid campaigns. This policy explains what the UGCad mobile app collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. It covers the app and the linked service at ugcad.io.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
1. Who we are
UGCad ("we", "us") operates the UGCad platform and the UGCad Android app. For any privacy question, or to exercise the rights described in section 8, contact us at support@ugcad.io.
2. Information we collect
We only collect what the platform needs to operate. Everything below is provided by you or generated by your use of the service.

Device permissions
The app requests these Android permissions. Each is used only for the stated purpose, only while you are using that feature, and you may decline any of them — the rest of the app continues to work.
- Camera — only when you choose to record or photograph content for a portfolio or a deliverable.
- Microphone — only to capture audio as part of a video you are recording. We do not record audio in the background or at any other time.
- Photos and videos — only to let you pick existing media to upload. We access the specific files you select, never your whole library.
- Internet — to communicate with our servers.
Camera, microphone and media capture happen on your device and are uploaded only when you confirm the upload.
What we do not collect
- We do not collect your precise location or GPS data.
- We do not access your contacts, call logs, or SMS messages.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- The app contains no advertising SDKs.
3. How we use your information
- To create and administer your account and authenticate you.
- To match brands with creators and run campaigns, bids and deals.
- To process payments, hold funds in escrow and make payouts.
- To verify identity where the law requires it before money moves.
- To deliver in-app messages and notifications you have enabled.
- To provide support and to investigate and resolve disputes.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and violations of our terms.
- To diagnose faults and improve reliability and performance.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
4. What other users can see
UGCad is a two-sided marketplace, so some information is deliberately visible to the party you deal with.
- Brands can see a creator's public profile: display name, category, bio, location, rates, portfolio, completed-deliverable count, ratings and reviews.
- Creators can see a brand's company name, campaign brief, budget and deal terms.
- Both parties see the messages, offers and deliverables exchanged in their shared thread.
Never shown to the other party: your email address, phone number, password, KYC documents, PAN or Aadhaar numbers, and your bank or UPI details. These are visible only to you and, where strictly necessary, to authorised UGCad staff and our payment and verification providers.
5. Sharing with third parties
We share personal information only in these situations:
- Service providers who process it on our instructions and only for us: cloud hosting and storage, payment and escrow processing, identity (KYC) verification, and email delivery.
- Analytics — our website uses PostHog to understand aggregate product usage. It is used to improve the product, not for advertising.
- Legal reasons — where we must comply with a law, regulation, court order or valid request from an authority, or to protect the rights, safety and property of UGCad, our users or the public.
- Business transfer — if UGCad is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a materially different policy.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.
6. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. After you delete your account we remove your profile and content, except where we must keep records for longer:
- Financial and tax records (transactions, invoices, payouts) are retained for the period Indian tax and accounting law requires.
- KYC records are retained for the period anti-money-laundering rules require.
- Dispute records are retained until the dispute is resolved and any appeal window has closed.
Information kept for these reasons is restricted to compliance use only.
7. Security
All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Passwords are stored hashed, never in a readable form. Access to sensitive records such as KYC and bank details is limited to staff who need it for their role. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the relevant authority of a breach where the law requires it.
8. Your rights and choices
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction — edit your profile in the app at any time, or ask us to correct information you cannot change yourself.
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and personal information, subject to the retention rules in section 6.
- Withdraw permissions — revoke camera, microphone or media access at any time in your Android system settings.
- Notifications — change what you receive in the app's notification settings.
- Object or restrict — ask us to stop or limit certain processing of your information.
To make any of these requests, email support@ugcad.io from the address on your account. We respond within 30 days.
Deleting your account
You can request account deletion from within the app, or by emailing support@ugcad.io with the subject "Delete my account". We confirm the request, settle any funds owed to you, and then remove your account.
9. Children
UGCad is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International transfers
We are based in India and our service providers may process data in other countries. Where information is transferred outside India, we take steps to ensure it remains protected to the standard described in this policy.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version. If a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will give notice in the app or by email before it takes effect.
